how to disable the automatic update function in Windows®

Microsoft® recommends having automatic updates enabled for its Windows® operating system. This helps the company fix known bugs and reported issues, which may increase security and stability of the operating system, among other things.

Most Windows® users do not keep track of the updates, read what the forums are saying about them or remember to update their machines manually a week after the release.
